Happy Holidays To You!
Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Habari Gani! Happy Solstice!
From the celebration of Brumalia in ancient Rome to the much-televised lighting of the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Centre in New York City, we have celebrations and festivals around the world that relate to the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. Christians celebrate Christmas, Jews Hanukkah, People of African descent Kwanzaa, Hindus Pancha Ganapati, and Wiccans Yule.
We celebrate bringing light into the darkest of days.
Perhaps we can do that, not only at this time of year but every day. Just shine a little light in the darkness of a difficult time. A smile. A word of understanding and compassion. A hug.
Whatever your culture or belief, I wish you a very happy holiday. May the light shine for you all year, and may you bring the light to others.
Sending Love and Light,
Allana
