Try These Home-made Chicken Meatballs
It’s fun to be able to make different recipes. It’s smart and healthy to know the quality of the ingredients you are using as well.
Chicken balls are very popular with both adults and children and can be used in so many ways from things like chicken nuggets, Sweet and Sour Chicken balls, Sesame chicken balls, just to name a few. They all start with basically the same recipe.
Here is a quick and easy recipe to help you get the excitement back at your table for your meal times. Enjoy
PREP TIME10 minutes
COOK TIME25 minutes
TOTAL TIME35 minutes
SIMPLE INGREDIENTS
1 pound Chicken breast
1 Egg
1/2 tsp Garlic, Pepper & Salt each
1/8 cup of Milk
1/2 cup Gluten free flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS
If you are going to bake these right away, preheat the oven to 400ºF and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray or brush with Coconut or Olive oil.
Take 1 pound of uncooked chicken and mince it up in a food processor (if you don’t have a food processor you can chop it up very tiny). After your chicken is minced you will add the following
Add 1 egg
Add 1/2 tsp Celtic salt, 1/2 tsp Black Pepper, 1/2 tsp Garlic
Put that all together and mix really well, then add in 1/8 cup of milk (Dairy, Oat, almond, Coconut etc your choice)
Mix in well, then add in 1/2 cup Gluten free Flour ( or flour of your choice)
1 tsp baking powder
Mix that all together well and then take an ice cream scoop or a teaspoon and make little balls with the mixture. You can choose how big you want them. The bigger the balls the longer they take to cook and the fewer you get for your pound of chicken. You can bake them as a plain meatball or you can refer to other recipes like our Healthy Chicken Nuggets on how to make chicken balls and continue follow that recipe to the final product of chicken nuggets.
To continue baking: Place the chicken meatballs onto a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes (turn your meatballs halfway through) until the chicken is golden brown. They are ready when the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce - bbq, honey garlic, ketchup, mayonaise etc etc.
