The Casaroma Blessings Box

If you have visited either of our shops in Nova Scotia you may have noticed a carved wooden box with a slot in the lid and the word “Blessings” hand-carved on its side.  Beside them are a pad and pen for your use.  We invite anyone to write a name, circumstance or condition that would benefit from our prayers and blessings and place it in the box.

No one sees the contents of the box, but each morning and evening we say a prayer for whatever or whoever is tucked inside.  When the box gets full we empty it (without looking at the contents) and place the papers in a paper bag.  Lyza takes it home and ceremoniously burns it.  We write a note saying Blessing for whoever was in this box” and put that in the now empty container and the cycle continues.
