Still Standing, but Wobbling a Bit! Thanks for your support!

It was 1996 when Lyzalee and I decided to leave the corporate world and follow our dream.  We financed our education in aromatherapy by customizing signs, engraving pet tags, delivering flyers, and bringing our huge heavy engraver to weekend markets.  Whatever it took to reach our goal, we put our whole heart and soul into it.  We got the necessary diplomas and did our stint of practical training, then we set on our way. We had a weekend aromatherapy table at Alderney Market for quite a while, and then we were finally able to open Casaroma Wellness Centre 7 days a week with a little kiosk in Alderney market.   The excitement of a little shop with a treatment room to be able to help people with one on one was living the dream!  More excitement when we graduated to a larger location in the market area.  We have loved being a part of the Alderney Market for all of these years, it has meant the world to us. The next step of our growth was Peter opening a sister shop in Gibsons BC in 2018. It was wonderful to experience my son and Lyza’s brother Peter at the helm of that one.  Then in July of 2019, by another sheer stroke of magic, we started reno’s in an abandoned bank building in Hantsport NS, we had waited for such a long time to be able to grow and get our online part of our business off the ground.  We were just getting the doors open when Covid turned the world upside down for all of us. 

Casaroma’s long and winding road has been uphill over the last three years.  Having to stop many services and all in-person classes was a very heavy blow.  We tried to pivot to online sales but we have very little expertise in this area and despite good advice and many classes on marketing on the web and lots of friendly help we have still not reached that goal.  We are so grateful for all of our clients, whether long-standing or brand-new.  We are grateful for the understanding and support of Alderney Landing especially in these last few years - and we are once again putting our heart and soul into keeping our business alive.  Every day is a challenge, but we have faith that the love and integrity that forms the base of our business will attract the necessary income to keep it afloat.  Thank you for making that possible by buying our products, attending our classes and using our services, now that we can once again offer them.  You are always in our hearts.
